We are busy with three projects at this time. The first is the new book from Pastor Walker, "Choosing to Live Again." Another is a book of poetry by Edna Bush. The third is "Serendipities of a Mother's Prayers," by Gordon Barnett. We hope to have these books available soon.

As we close out our first year of operations, Alamo City Press would like to announce the availability of a new resource. Student Ministries Pastor Cliff Graham’s book, Call of Duty: Showing Boys the Real Jesus, has just been published. While not an Alamo City Press title (it was contracted before the formation of the ministry), we would like to make it available through the website. This is a useful tool to help parents, grandparents, teachers, and anyone else who spends time around teenage boys understand why they don’t seem to care about spiritual matters or going to church.

It is available at the link above or at the church for a discounted rate.

Have a Merry Christmas! Check back here after the holidays for exciting news about upcoming releases in the Spring.

Work is steadily progressing on several projects at Alamo City Press. Manuscripts are being edited for a wide and varied audience of readers. A new project by Student Ministries girls leader Tara Yost will speak directly to the hearts of young women, and a memoir by Gordon Barnett will inspire men both young and old.

The Serendipities of a Mother’s Prayers” will release in time for Christmas and is currently on schedule. It is in the editing phase of production and will soon move to cover design.

Cliff Graham’s book, “Call of Duty,” an effort to help parents understand the world of their teenage son, and how to relate the Gospel message to him, will be releasing soon. While not an Alamo City Press title, the book will be stocked and sold in conjunction with the ministry.

Tara Yost is hard at work on her project, working title “Daughter of Eve,” in which she reaches out to the hard-edged scene of underground music with the light of Jesus Christ. Young women who have been abused, neglected, and abandoned will find hope in her testimony and in how she describes the high calling on their lives through Him.

If you have a desire to be a part of the ministry, or have a book that has not been picked up by other publishers, please contact us!

We are excited to announce two new projects coming soon from Alamo City Press!

The Serendipities of a Mother’s Prayers
Written by longtime Alamo City member Gordon Barnett, this is the true story of a fascinating journey to redemption for a Navy commander. It will release in time for Christmas.

Call of Duty: Showing Boys the Real Jesus
Most boys view God as just an old man on a throne in the clouds who wants nothing more than to shout rules at them and take all the joy out of life. Written by Alamo City Student Ministries pastor Cliff Graham, this book will be a tremendous help to parents, teachers, or youth workers eager to understand the life and times of the modern teenage boy, with some suggestions on how to show the “real” Jesus to them. Call of Duty will release in November.
